How it works
Yes. Choose Animate an icon at the top of the page and pick one of your icons, one of ours, or upload one you already have. Any icon you make, edit, convert from a photo or find in the library has its own Animate button too. Describe its motion and preview the loop. Change the speed without drawing it again. Download a looping GIF or a ZIP of all its PNG frames. Drawing and animation are free to start. Choosing a creative tool opens your Tinker workspace without a sign-in form. Sign in with Yoto or Google to keep your work across devices. If the icon is in the public library, you can add your animation to it there too, beside any others, so other families can find it moving when they search.
Yes. Choose Upload an icon and pick, drop or paste a PNG, GIF, JPEG or WebP. Use an existing icon or turn a picture into one. A GIF starts as a still picture. Choose Animate this icon to add motion, or Use this icon to keep it as a still. Your upload stays out of the public library. If you request animation, the icon is processed to make the loop.
Download a 16 × 16 PNG or an animated GIF, or ask Tinker to add your icons to Yoto. Choose Link Yoto in chat to sign in and connect your account. Your chats and icons stay with you when you sign in.
Tinker turns your audio into albums: tracks, titles and an icon for each one, ready to play or send to Yoto. These icons are the same ones. The icon maker is free to start and works by itself.
It’s free to start. Your first request creates a guest workspace for your chats and icons. Single icons, matching sets and animations share a free starting allowance. Sign in with Yoto or Google to keep your work across devices and continue with your account’s Tinker Credit. Linking Yoto signs you in too.

The public library contains icons families have shared, with a name and a short description. You can search and download these without signing in. Your personal library keeps the icons you make in chat. We keep other people’s characters and brands out of the library; if one slips through, tell us at hi@tinker.audio.
Tinker draws icons from your descriptions or pictures. You can review, change and download the results. The pixel editor lets you draw by hand. Our privacy policy explains how your information is handled.
